you participate, you take part.
In other words, you play an active role. Nowadays, it’s possible to
participate in meetings even if you’re not there, by using new technology,
such as video-conferencing. Participation is high if a lot of people take part.
Each person who takes part is a participant. Many
firms allow workers from all levels in the company to
participate
in the decision-making process. Management
became concerned at the low level of participation
in the employee pension scheme. Each participant in the research project has to sign an approved ethics form.
