‘Facilitate’ is ‘make easier, especially when we’re talking about changes or discussion in organizations. The person who helps a group to work well together is called ‘a facilitator’ and the noun when things become easier is called ‘facilitation’.

 

Involving all staff in our plans should facilitate the changes we need to make.

As the chair of the meeting, I see my role as a facilitator, so I’ll be asking questions and inviting answers rather than giving my own opinions on the issues.
